Dr. Anna Mills - Veterinarian

Anna Mills

Dr. Anna Mills is a veterinarian who has always loved the variety and relationships that come with caring for animals. Originally from Tennessee, she moved to the Dallas area during elementary school and has called Texas home ever since.

Dr. Mills earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 2013 and went on to graduate from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. After veterinary school, she completed a mixed animal internship and spent her first two years practicing mixed animal medicine. She later transitioned to general practice, followed by four years in emergency and critical care, before finding her way back to general practice.

Her varied experience has given her the opportunity to care for pets in all kinds of situations, from routine wellness visits to more complicated and urgent medical cases. These experiences have also shaped her approach to patient care, with a strong emphasis on low stress handling. Dr. Mills believes veterinary care should be as comfortable and positive as possible for every patient. She takes the time to understand each pet’s individual personality, recognize signs of stress, and adjust her approach to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and respected throughout their visit.

She especially enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families and being a trusted partner in their pets’ care. Whether a pet is visiting for a routine wellness exam or needs more extensive medical attention, she strives to create an environment where both pets and their people feel comfortable, heard, and cared for.

Dr. Mills met her husband while they were both in veterinary school, and they now have a son, two dogs, and a cat. When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and gardening. She loves being outdoors and making the most of family adventures—whether that means exploring somewhere new or simply spending time together at home.

She is excited to be part of the community and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets while helping make their veterinary experience as calm, comfortable, and positive as possible!
