Dr. Kelsey Dechant

Born just down the road in Temple, Texas. I am a Texan first, but I actually grew up across the world in Southern India. Living overseas for seventeen years has been an incredible and humbling experience.

Dr. Taylor Hood

I have always fostered a life-long love of animals, and initially decided to pursue a career as a veterinarian when I began working at a local vet clinic in high school. I grew up north of Dallas in Aubrey, TX – also known as the “Horse Capital of Texas”.

Charla Mitchell

My name is Charla. I’ve been in the veterinary industry for over 17 years now. I have wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember. I was the little girl that brought home all the strays. I got my first job in veterinary medicine at 20 as a kennel attendant.

Kyleigh Isbell

My name is Kyleigh, and I started my Veterinary field journey at SCAC in 2020. In 2021, I moved to a different state but ultimately decided Texas and SCAC were home, so I returned to Fort Worth and SCAC in February 2023.

I wanted to join the Summer Creek team when I saw first hand the passion and dedication for quality, fear-free care by Dr. McCorkle. As an owner of an anxious dog, the practices at Summer Creek Animal Clinic have truly changed our veterinary experience into a positive one.

Alicia Slocum

From a very young age I knew I wanted to work in veterinary medicine. I just loved the thought of helping animals and their owners in their hardest times and also with preventative care to help them live long and happy lives.

Katrina Lanning

I grew up in a family that had dedicated their time to working with rescue animals that had different medical needs. We always had various critters in our care, from reptiles to horses.

Cierra Willison

Since I was young I've always had a love for animals. I was born and raised in Arlington, Texas and have spent the majority of my life in the DFW area.

Rebecca McCallum

I was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. I have a horse that has been part of my life for 17 years named Lexi and two foster fail cats named Weasley and Lady.

Nikole Brooks

From the moment I could walk I was taught the importance of the bond between humans and animals. My parents instilled the extreme importance to respect and love every living creature I come in contact with, rescuing and rehabilitating many pets throughout my life.

Katie Crunk

Hi! My name is Katie, and I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I graduated from Ball State University in May of 2022 with a major in biology and a concentration in zoology and wildlife conservation. I moved to Texas in October of 2022 to be with my boyfriend and his family.
