Veterinary Technician

From a very young age I knew I wanted to work in veterinary medicine. I just loved the thought of helping animals and their owners in their hardest times and also with preventative care to help them live long and happy lives. While I was still in highschool I got a job as a kennel technician at a boarding and grooming facility, this was just a stepping stone to my career to vet med. After highschool I started working as a kennel technician at a clinic caring for hospitalized patients and pets boarding. From there I was given the opportunity at another clinic to receive some on the job training to become a veterinary technician. Over the course of the 2 years I gained skills and knowledge to better serve pets and their owners. In May of 2020 I joined the Summer Creek Animal Clinic team and have never looked back. The Fear Free approach is the best thing I have ever been introduced to and truly believe it makes a huge difference in the lives of the animals we treat.

In my free time I love to spend time with my two dogs, Gunner and Remi, and go to my parents house where they can run and play with my parents' two dogs Lilly and Lacy. I grew up with Lilly, she is an 11 year old tripawd black lab who lost her leg to cancer 2 years ago. I was born and raised in northern Michigan hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles. I have lived in Texas since 2014 and I love it.
